ITALIANS DO IT BETTER

ITALIANS DO IT BETTER

No way. When it comes to good food and beautiful places, the instant connection all over the world is to Italy. I’m Italian, and I’ve been working in gastronomy sector since 2005 with the chance to discover thousand of specialties, not even mention the wines. Every region, province and city has something special to be tasted, something extraordinary not only because it is good, but also for the story it brings with it. Just a minimum amount of this richness is known by foreigners, who often stop at the culinary stereotypes with no idea of what they are missing. In terms of plates and products, but even regarding tourism, because places of production can become interesting destinations for travelling in areas outside the classic circuit.

WANNA B-ITALY is a travel into the lesser-known Italy, the part that deserves to be unveil and eat by foreign tourists too. This part for me is like the B-side of a record: not supposed to be a hit, but sometimes surprisingly awesome as a great A-side song. So in WANNA B–ITALY you won’t find Rome and the Colosseum, Venice and the Grand Canal. You won’t read about Spaghetti with meatballs and Pepperoni Pizza. The firsts because already famous destinations, and if I’m going to write about those it is for suggesting attractions that are not so popular to visit. The seconds because, just let me tell you, they simply do not exist in our tradition. But I swear we have other tasty plates that will make you forget all about them.
